Welcome, my name is Mr. Tobias Hatten. I teach Science at the Village School in Great Neck, NY. The Village School is a small alternative high school which is part of the Great Neck Public Schools. As the only Science teacher, I teach Earth Science, Living Environment and 7 different electives each year (Aquaria, Environmental Action, Farmers Market, Natural Disasters, Projectile Physics, Urban Gardening, Vehicles in Motion last year alone)! Over the course of the year my students, developed an aquarium program and established a 4000 square foot vegetable garden that produced lettuce, radishes, tomatoes, carrots, broccoli, beans, sugar snap peas, eggplant and corn during the 2011 school year! Additionally, I coach the Great Neck South Middle School Science Olympiad team who earned a trip to the 2011 New York State Science Olympiad Competition. I also teach Environmental Geology at Stony Brook University. I hope you enjoy the site and if you have any questions feel free to e-mail me!
